Substance misuse includes alcohol misuse and all kinds of substance misuse. CASP is a unique service where a person with an addiction issue can avail of both medical and holistic treatment and/or a combination of both types of treatment.

CASP Services

CASP provides an integrated, community-based substance treatment service focusing on the physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs of people who use substances and their families by providing the following services in a holistic manner:

  • Drop in Service

    CASP drop-in service, simply walk through the door from 10am - 3pm daily with tea, coffee and toast available until 3pm.

  • Project Worker Team

    CASP Project Worker Team works with active alcohol users including homeless people and people who use substances from Clondalkin in prisons.

  • CASP Counselling

    A supportive, safe, caring environment promoting awareness of the range of options/services available to individuals living with addiction.

  • CASP Key Work

    Key Workers at CASP assist and support service users on the maintenance programme and outside clients on an individual basis.

  • Methadone Service

    The Methadone Maintenance programme at CASP is run by the HSE, to join you must be a resident of North Clondalkin and over 18 years of age.

  • Needle Exchange

    Needle Exchange service is a harm reduction intervention. Here, people who use substances can obtain sterile injecting, smoking equipment and other substance paraphernalia.

  • Primary Health Care

    CASP medical services attend to the needs of clients accessing our programmes and the wider community. There are no restrictions to anyone in need of this service.

  • Family Support

    CASP has a specific Family Support team in place to provide support to partners, siblings etc. who are effected by substance misuse in the family.

    CASP Community Prison Links (CPL) Worker works with people who use substances from Clondalkin in prisons who wish to address their addiction and other issues.
