CASP’s goal of supporting individuals in reaching their fullest potential mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually in a professional and confidential forum is evidenced by the Counselling Team’s commitment to engage in ongoing training and development, embracing any and all opportunities for growth.
WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
Counselling is a way of relating and responding to another person, encouraging that person to honestly assess positive and negative aspects of their thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Counselling provides support and feedback as people journey through recovery, encouraging them toward a clearer self-understanding. As this understanding develops, so does the ability to cope and manage life more effectively. In this purposeful relationship, one person helps another learns the skills to help themself.
